METHOD OF APPLICATION

Mahakaal should be applied according to the chart mentioned above in the evening to the level of drenching. Since it is a stomach poison its results are observed only after 24-48 hrs. of application. After ingestion of the toxin the caterpillar hangs in inverted position on the plants.

Biocontrol Mechanism

The insect toxin present in the formulation actsa s a stomach poison upon ingestion by the insect caterpillar. Annonaceous acetogenins extracted from seeds have pesticidal and/or insect antifeedant properties. This group of C 32/34 fatty-acid-derived natural products, are among the most potent inhibitors of complex I (NADH: ubiquinone oxidoreductase) in the mitochondrial electron transport system.

CAUTION

  1. Do not treat plants with chemical insecticide further after using Mahakaal.
  2. Do not spray in strong sunlight. Prefer evening hours for foliar spray.
  3. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
